How to Achieve Your Goals

Follow the script as written. This will guarantee you results. There will be five, equally important steps, to help you achieve your goals. let’s start.

1. Cultivate Your Desire

If you do not yearn for your goal, failures and waning motivation will take their toll. It will be easy to give up and waste all the effort made so far.

Look again at your diary and read aloud the reasons why you want to achieve each of the goals set. If you have not done the exercises, following the process described last week, go back and set your goals according to the formula described there.

Now a couple of words about what to do to instill the reasons for pursuing your goals The practices described below should become your habits.

Pre-Sleep Visualisation

Firstly select a word symbolising a reason for pursuing each of your goals. For example:” well-off” for financial freedom, and”healthy” for health. Select about five words.

Once you have chosen the codes for your goals, every day, before falling asleep, focus on each of these words. Visualise them and use all your senses to experience how it is when you achieve a given goal.

What can you see, hear, feel, taste and smell? In the case of a healthy body – you can notice a smaller stomach, you can hear a healthier breath, feel more vibrant and even your body fluids smell nicer.

Mind Programmer

Every day, before going to bed or in the morning before you start your work, write down two pages of a special diary to reprogram your mind.

Firstly, focus on your goals for a given day. To know your weekly goals, projects and tasks, always set these goals every week. Knowing your yearly or monthly goals, the task should not be too difficult. Set your weekly and daily goals before using Mind Programmer.

To achieve your goals, pick up the five to ten five most important tasks you need to complete the next day (evening writing) or on a given day (when writing in the morning).

Once you have written your tasks, set an intention for each day. For example, Today I am disciplined enough to complete Project …

Next, write affirmations about yourself, being the creator of anything in your life. Fore ample:

  • I am the creator of perfect health.
  • I am the creator of a strong and healthy aura.
  • I am the creator of abundance in my life.
  • I am the creator of wonderful relationships, built on respect, love, care and commitment.
  • Then write how you engage in this creation. For example: I joyfully do my workouts.

Of course, you can write more than two pages of your diary to reprogram your mind and you can write a whole paragraph instead of sentences to describe your new identity.

Affirm Your Desire to Achieve Your Goals

Napoleon Hill wrote:

“Whatever the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

But to make your mind believe, repetitive affirmation is necessary. Therefore, once you finished writing, read your intention and affirmations aloud.

To make the process more effective, read your piece of writing aloud in front of the mirror, before going to bed and after getting up.

2. Stimulate Your Senses with Your Goals

When you learn a skill, you surround yourself with prompts to help you remember and master the skill. The same rule applies to goals and your subconscious mind programming.

Therefore, write your goals on flashcards and hang them in visible places in your house, or at your workplace. Put some flashcards in your wallet. You can make posters with images representing your goals and hang them on the wall.

Moreover, record your affirmations written in mind programmer on a dictaphone, the reasons for pursuing your goals from the diary and listen to your recording. It may be a bit strange to hear your voice, but after some time you will accept it.

3. Plan Your Work to Achieve Your Goals

You have your goals set already. Now plan the steps and milestones. I mean the weekly and daily tasks and projects. For example, if you want to improve your fitness, plan to find a training plan, decide when to exercise, what tools you will use, how often you will do it and for how long. More about planning next week.

4. Take Action to Achieve Your Goals

Nothing will happen without taking committed action. Even reading affirmations and having a good plan will not work unless you act. But without affirming your goals and organising your work, your efforts can be chaotic as well.

“Excellence/Perfection is not a destination; it is a continuous journey that never ends.” ― Brian Tracy

Fight Obstacles

You already know these monsters. Check your dairy. If you have not listed your obstacles yet, do it now. To make the task easier, I will list some examples concerning doing workouts:

Physical obstacles – you are not fit enough to do some exercises included in your workout or have no equipment (e.g. weights) for this purpose.

Mental obstacles – you are not motivated enough because of the weather (to jog).

Spiritual obstacles – you have not mastered patience or you are discouraged because of negative entities’ hooks in your aura.

Once you know your obstacles, check your diary and find the ways to overcome these challenges. For example, you can:

  • Choose a bit easier exercise or do fewer reps
  • Take care of your sleep and hydration better and eat lighter meals

Every day, write the reasons for doing workouts, read them aloud and visualise them before falling asleep.

Do Your Work to Achieve Your Goals

Take action – practise your habits (e.g. the aforementioned mind programmer and visualisation), do your work on planned projects, practise new skills and connect with the people who help you with your goal achievements. Meditate and pray (more details below).

Observe your deadlines but do not treat them as the Bible. Sometimes you just cannot make it, e.g. in the case of force majeur like a pandemic. However, beware of procrastination based on lack of motivation or avoiding discomfort. Modify your approach to achieve your goals.

Time Management

While working on your goals, do not forget about prioritising according to the 80/20 rule, 4Ps matrix or the ABCDE method. You can also ask the question while filling up your mind programmer:

What is the most valuable use of my time right now?

4. Monitor Your Progress to Achieve Your Goals

You monitor the progress of your goal by checking how much you have achieved every day. This method is the best in the case of resolutions such as: “I will stop eating sweets 24/7” or “I will stop negative thinking.”

However, monitoring daily progress is also important in the case of big goals, based on your life mission and overarching goals. If you chopped up your goals by doing smaller tasks, then it is easier to monitor and mark which task you have done.

For example, if you want to lose weight and have planned to do exercises three times a week for 45 minutes, every day you check if the job was done and mark that.

To monitor your progress and, therefore, achieve your goals, use online apps like HabitBull or prepare a matrix for monitoring your progress in a diary. You can also create a habit tracker on Google Sheets or in Excel. Once you have it, cross off each day you stick with your routine.

Monthly and Quarterly Evaluation

Evaluation is also done every month and quarter. They are resolutions which you work on regularly. Write down your current achievements and compare them with your yearly goals, comparing how much is still to be pursued.

Write down a couple of recommendations when the progress is too slow or you have failed. It may turn out that you are not driven into a given goal anymore or circumstances have changed around you. Then redefine your goal.

5. Meditate and Pray

Include God and Higher Beings in pursuit of your goals. Ask your soul and intuition in the case of being stuck or losing motivation, or when there are external obstacles. Sometimes the Universe may postpone your achievements to teach you something.

By meditating and praying, you can also connect with your subconscious mind and discover the strengths and challenges left after your past lives. Then you can address them as well, speeding up your progress. Learn more about how to meditate.

Bonus Advice: Never Give Up

I have mentioned it at the end of my previous article but without persistence, no goal will be achieved. All the steps above are meaningless when you give up on the first obstacle, like another argument with your abusive partner.

There are no failures; there are only lessons. If you lose your temper again or become submissive hearing your partner yelling, think about what you could do better and what not to do the next time, but still work on your goal. Work on your self-confidence and fears.

Remember, once you have set your goal and started working on it: NEVER EVER GIVE UP. Modify the methods of pursuing it, however, never give up. Remember:

“A quitter never wins-and-the winner never quits.”― Napoleon Hill

In a Nutshell

To achieve your goals you need to take action. Plan the necessary steps to take, overcome any obstacles and do the job. In the case of serious,e external challenges, modify the deadline. However, avoid habitual procrastination. Good luck with pursuing your goals. With lots of love and light,

Vicky Yang
