Fear of destruction is a common human emotion. The thought of losing everything we hold dear can be paralyzing, leaving us feeling vulnerable and anxious.
However, it’s important to remember that our souls are immortal and cannot be destroyed by any evil force. By understanding and embracing this concept, we can find the strength to overcome our fear of destruction.
Know the Monster: the Fear of Destruction
Before we start appeasing the fear of destruction, know the monster. Answer, in writing, the following questions:
- What does destruction mean to you?
- Why are you afraid?
Have you finished? In the case of struggling, I will give you some clues of what destruction can be and why we are afraid of it.
What Is Destruction?
In most cases, destruction means death, especially while being tortured or murdered inhumanly.
Sometimes, the destruction of your ego by criticism or humiliation can cause pain. No one likes to lose face and respect.
The destruction of material goods or your dear ones (e.g. the murder of your child by gangsters) can be also traumatic.
There is also auto-destruction by addictions and negative thinking. This one is usually neglected or the consequence of external destruction. negative thinking also attracts external destruction.
Why does The Fear of Destruction paralyse you?
Firstly, because you will lose your control over your life. By dying, for whatever reason (illness, old age or violence) you know that your body ends its journey and your mind as well. There is an antidote to this kind of thinking and I will write about it below.
Secondly, you are afraid of pain. Yes. any kind of destruction is painful. We do not like leaving our comfort zone. The pain may be physical (injury, murder, physical tortures), mental (ego bruising) or spiritual (when your soul is tormented by negative beings).
The Immortality of the Soul
On one hand, throughout history, various cultures and religions have believed in the soul’s immortality.
However, many religions teach us to believe that there is only one life and death ends in one state. Moreover, because of that belief, we are afraid of dying and any pain.
More reading about reincarnation:
Whether it’s the concept of the afterlife, reincarnation, or spiritual transcendence, the idea remains the same: our souls are eternal. This belief provides comfort and reassurance that even in the face of destruction, our essence will continue to exist.
By acknowledging the immortality of the soul, we can shift our perspective on destruction. Instead of viewing it as an end, we can see it as a transformation or a new beginning.
This understanding allows us to approach life with courage and resilience, knowing that no matter what happens, our souls will endure.
Creation versus Destruction
Also, according to the universal Law of Change, everything evolves through the process of birth and death. Look at the cycles on Earth: the lunar cycle, the menstrual cycle or the seasons:
The Moon waxes and wanes, the same happens with the lining of the uterus. Plants grow, bloom and wither. Our body, in this life, also undergoes this process.
Also, your genes are immortal. You can lose one body but DNA will be replaced in the next generation.
So why be afraid of destruction, when you know that there will be rebirth?
How to Kill the Fear of Destruction
Now I will give you some advice on how to eradicate the fear of destruction. As with each fear, this one can also be destroyed and transformed as mental states and emotions also undergo the cycle of change.
1. Embrace the Impermanence of the Physical World
Knowing that change and evolution are constant and inevitable, it will be easier for you to embrace the impermanence of the physical world.
Rather than clinging to these temporary aspects of life, we can focus on cultivating inner qualities that are not bound by time or destruction. And here we come to the spiritual domain of life.
Instead of seeking security in external circumstances, we can find solace in our own inner strength, wisdom, and love. These qualities are not dependent on external factors and can withstand any form of destruction.
By shifting our focus from the external to the internal, we can find a sense of stability and peace that transcends the fear of destruction.
2. Disarm Your Mental Resistance
However, you may argue that the physical world is more important. It happens because the ego as the mechanism of the mind, dreads being destroyed by conscious work on growth.
So what can you do to disarm fears:
- Know the monster: The fear of destruction covers other things you are afraid of loss, pain and the fact that you might be redundant in the contemporary world.
- Disarm the monster. You can do it by the formula:
Transform the monster. Fear is the opposite of love. Sometimes love requires the sacrifice of destroying your ego, material resources, or even your physical life for something greater. Think about the soldiers dying for a country or a mother dying during the labour to give birth to the new being.
3. Focus on Something Opposite
Tee Law of Focus teaches us that whatever we dwell on, grows. So the more you dread destruction, the more probable is that it will happen.
Remember that fear is the reaction of your mind. It can come from external sources i.e. other beings’ minds, also done by artificial ways like mind control), or internal ones (your programmed cells – the cellular memory).

So what can you do to shift your attitude from destruction to something else?
Practise Mindfulness
Mindfulness and gratitude are powerful tools for overcoming fear and cultivating a sense of peace.
By practising mindfulness, we can train our minds to stay present in the moment, rather than dwelling on fears of the future or regrets of the past. This allows us to fully appreciate and experience the beauty and joy that exists in our lives right now.
Focusing on the present shifts your mindset to the ‘now’. You create the future from this perspective.
Practise Gratitude
Gratitude is another essential practice that can help us overcome the fear of destruction. By focusing on the blessings and abundance in your life, you shift your attention away from what may be lost and instead appreciate what you have.
Cultivating a mindset of gratitude allows you to find contentment and joy, regardless of external circumstances.
4. Connecting with Something Greater
Lastly, connecting with something greater than yourself can provide a sense of comfort and security. Whether through religious or spiritual practices, nature, or a sense of community, finding a connection to something beyond your existence can help alleviate the fear of destruction.
When you recognize that you are part of a larger tapestry of life, it is easier to realize that your individual experiences are just a small piece of the grander whole. This perspective can bring a sense of peace and purpose, knowing that our actions and contributions have significance beyond our limited understanding.
5. Reprogram Your Mind
Shifting to something opposite may be a temporary process, but still, it can help you to reprogram your mind. However, to transform the fear of destruction for good, you need a long-term strategy.
Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind
Many fears come from your subconscious mind which not only stores data from this life but also all the experiences that happened in your past incarnations.
Therefore, fear of destruction is also rotted subconsciously. However, you can reprogram your subconscious mind by regular training. Combined physical, mental and spiritual tools can make wonders. What can you do?
- Combine EFT with affirmations and journaling. Tap the EFT point with affirming: first the problem, then self-acceptance and self-love, then choose a different state.
- Meditate (more below). it can be just mental practice o relaxation or you can connect with Higher Beings and the Universe.
Bodywork – NLP programming that re-frames submodalities of the fear. identify where in the body you dread destruction. Then focus on the opposite state of consciousness, e.g. courage and identify the parts of the body where it is felt. Next, reprogram the parts of your body which generate fear of destruction with new submodalities.

Reprogram Your Ego
It is another mechanism that sabotages your mental well-being. This is your internal voice, also known as inner critic. it will discourage you from leaving your comfort zone and taking any action that means progress and growth. The ego only bothers with survival.
For example, for a couple of days (preferably 5), record all the situations when you did not want to let things go, had low self-esteem and did not want to lose something. These are the times when your ego kicks on. Then disarm the ago by answering these questions, preferably in writing:
You can also pacify the fear of destruction by writing and later reading this affirmation aloud:
Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a technique that allows you to access your subconscious mind and make positive changes on a deep level. It can be a powerful tool for overcoming fear and reprogramming your mind to think more positively.
During a hypnosis session, a trained hypnotist will guide you into a relaxed state and then provide positive suggestions to your subconscious mind. These suggestions can help you reframe your thoughts about destruction and replace them with more empowering beliefs.
For example, if you constantly worry about losing everything you have, a hypnotist might suggest that you can rebuild and recover from any loss. Over time, these suggestions can help you rewire your brain and reduce the fear of destruction.
Prayer
Prayer has been used for centuries as a way to connect with a higher power and seek guidance and healing. When it comes to combating the fear of destruction, prayer can be a powerful tool.
Through prayer, you can surrender your fears and worries to a higher power, trusting that you will be protected and guided through any challenges that come your way. By acknowledging that you are not alone and that there is a greater force at work in the universe, you can find comfort and peace in the face of fear.
Additionally, prayer can help you shift your focus from fear to gratitude. By expressing gratitude for what you have and the blessings in your life, you can cultivate a mindset of abundance and reduce the fear of losing it all.
Meditation
Meditation is a practice that involves training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. It can be a powerful tool for overcoming fear and finding inner peace.
When it comes to the fear of destruction, meditation can help you cultivate a sense of calm and detachment. By practising mindfulness and observing your thoughts without judgment, you can create distance between yourself and your fears.
During meditation, you can also visualize yourself in a state of safety and security. By imagining yourself in a protective bubble or surrounded by light, you can create a sense of safety and reduce the fear of destruction.
6. Reprogram Your Cells
Neuroplasticity is becoming very popular now. You can erase the old patterns saved in your cells and program new ones.
Cells grow and die so every day you can record a new program to them, replacing the old one. Every day your new cells ask you ‘Will you program us to creation or to destruction? What do you want us to do for you?’
Use affirmations and visualisation, combined with tapping (EFT) to record a new script to your cells every day.
A Word of Warning
No one and nothing can destroy you: only yourself by thoughts, words and deliberate acts of destruction, dictated by evil forces
As long as your soul is sound and you follow the values of light, even when there are ups and downs, nothing will destroy you. No evil force can destroy the light.
In a Nutshell
In conclusion, the fear of destruction can be overcome by embracing the immortality of the soul, embracing the impermanence of the physical world, practising mindfulness and gratitude, and connecting with something greater.
By shifting our perspective and focusing on these aspects, we can find the strength and courage to face whatever challenges may come our way. Remember, your soul is immortal, and no evil can destroy it. With lots of love and light,
